Brothers and sisters, it is you the rank and file who are the true winners in the current branch elections. I have been getting feed back that some are thinking about running for office when we have our next election. Please do so, ideally there would be at least 2 candidates per position up for election.
The most important thing to do is get active, participate in the meetings, engage your sisters and brothers, go to https://www.nalc.org/ read the TA. I encourage everyone to vote no. To have a real impact you need to attend enough meetings to qualify, so that you can be nominated to attend our next NALC convention where we vote on a lot of important issues.
In Boston we had a good number of reformist, but it was not enough. There currently seems to be 3 paths being worked on to remove Brian Renfroe, 1 is almost certain to fail, but is very important. The other 2 depend 100% on you my brothers and sisters, we will need your votes when the voting happens. This is why no one should leave the union, voting is the only way reform happens.
Branches like ours across the country have reformist running, planning to run, engaging the rank and file to become active in their union and their branch. Never ever doubt you are the union. Listen to this podcast episode it is great and puts a lot of things in perspective.

Here is another interesting podcast Delivering Solidarity. While I would not say he is a reformer by any stretch, occasionally his views are interesting to say the least.

I was informed that management is not allowed to vote in our elections. This is great news for everyone. We are down to the wire, you still have time to get an absentee ballot mailed to you, but you probably will have to drop it off at the branch. I don’t think it will get there in time if you mailed it once you have filled out the absentee ballot…… voting for me as VP of course. ROFL
Go Go Chiefs!!!!!!
