(a) Unfair labor practices by employer
It shall be an unfair labor practice for an employer—
(1) to interfere with, restrain, or coerce employees in the exercise of the rights guaranteed in section 157 of this title;
(2) to dominate or interfere with the formation or administration of any labor organization or contribute financial or other support to it: Provided, That subject to rules and regulations made and published by the Board pursuant to section 156 of this title, an employer shall not be prohibited from permitting employees to confer with him during working hours without loss of time or pay;
Good morning to all.
I need your help. It has come to my attentions that some USPS management in Fresno are publicly saying that if certain carrier(s) are elected in 2024 as NALC Branch 231 Vice President they will refuse to work with that Vice President.
This is a National Labor Relation Act violation. In order to file with the National Labor Relations Board, we need signed statements from anyone and everyone that has heard anything like this. We need to know when you heard it, who you heard it from, and what exactly was said. This is a serious violation if true, and must be pursued with the utmost urgency.
We together can put a stop to management dictating stewards, who they meet with, and just generally interfering with YOUR branch elections. You can give your statements to the branch, any branch officer, or me, either directly or or however you want. In order to win this NLRB complaint we need signed statements.
Don’t forget the next branch meeting is 9-12-2023 at 7:00pm at 4466 West Spaatz #101, Fresno, CA 93722 (559)449-8058.
