Dog Safety!!!!!!!

Don’t let yourself be a victim to poor postal management. Management doesn’t care if you get mauled to death or not. If you have a dog issue on your route make dog cards, notify management, fill out a PS 1767, and have your steward to file an Article 14. If the steward doesn’t file immediately, call NALC Branch 231 at 559-449-8059 to report that a grievance has not been filed.

The abuse of carriers throughout Fresno is ramping up, management is pressuring carriers to work in an unsafe manner. Sunset is round 4:30pm, so around 4:00pm you need some kind of headlamp on a P&L and CBU routes. Allegedly, some in management have ordered headlamps for everyone at their station, but I haven’t had anyone let me know they have received them. If you have, CALL me and let me know(I do not receive text anymore…..ROFLMFAO) just kidding texting is fine…….

Anyway….. back to delivering at night. If you know you won’t finish the route you carry in 8 hours you must fill out PS Form 3996. Make sure you include “delivering in the dark” as one of the reasons. Also, do not let management bully you. They like to give carriers 1:30 hour pivot at night then tell them they have 1:00 hour to deliver the pivot. It is your responsibility as a carrier to notify management how much time you need even on a pivot via the PS Form 3996, if management denies your PS Form 3996 time request then at the allotted time it is you responsibility to take yourself back to the station seeking further instructions. Management has 2 options: 1. Authorize you to go back out to complete the pivot, or 2. Tell you to leave the pivot, do your PM duties, and then clock out. If management does something other than these 2 options you must invoke your Weingarten Rights, and then stop speaking, do not answer their questions, or anything else until you have consulted with your steward.

Be safe brothers and sisters, do not let management and management types dehumanize you.
