Get your Absentee Ballot before it’s to Late

Michael, October 25, 2024

Hello, brothers and sisters.

We are around 2 weeks out from one of, if not the most pivotal branch election in recent memory. Call NALC Branch 231 (559)449-8058 to have your absentee ballot mailed to you. Remember if you are mailing the ballot back, November 11, 2024 is Veterans Day, and the meeting is November 12, 2024. Make sure you put your ballot in the mail with enough time that it will be delivered Saturday November 9, 2024. You can drop them off any time, but it is always best to hand it directly to the person at the office.

Some may believe their vote does not count, but that isn’t true. The only way your vote doesn’t count is if you choose not to vote. To give you an idea how important your vote is, in the 2022 national NALC elections only around 15% of the members voted, and around 10% of the mailed ballots were returned because the address was not correct or up to date. Brian Renfroe was elected by the majority of that 15% of the members that voted. This brings up the importance of voting. I guarantee you if anyone other than Brian Renfroe would have been elected we would not have this pile of shit tentative agreement.

So make sure you call the branch and request your ballot. ASAP

“Don’t cause trouble” was what I was threatened with, because the cabal knew I would be speaking against raises, in August 2024. Changes to the bylaws giving raises were passed, and they were more than the measly 3.9% proposed to the City Letter Carrier over the life of the tentative agreement (Vote No) agreed to between the NALC and USPS. Make sure you vote, always be the change that you want.
