Hello brothers and sisters, Saturday was great as the Kansas City Chiefs won. FSU Coach Pat Hill always said just go 1-0 every week. I must admit though, that even stickum probably wouldn’t have helped some of the Chiefs receivers this season…… shout out to Lester Hayes….. How do you line up offsides??????
It’s the MLK Holiday 3 day weekend(for me), and it seems like the National Agreement is being violated yet again, ask for steward time if you believe there has been a violation at your station. We know since late November there has been Article 1 violations virtually everyday at Hughes station. The Dissenters of Truth turned a blind eye to this, or outright ignore the violation meanwhile telling everyone the management types are following the National Agreement. Which they are not, obviously. In fact the Dissenters of Truth said in front of me that they do not violate the National Agreement.
It is getting tiresome that the Dissenters of Truth keep saying “Michael is the favorite” I am like frack(Battlestar Galactica lingo), if that was even remotely true, I would as of 1-1-2024 be the zone 5 steward. Which I am not. In fact, even though there is proof otherwise of management types violating the National Agreement. I do not complain, but just speak the truth. I continue with what I promised every NALC Branch 231 member, and that is to run for VP for 2025. While I am thinking about it you may want to vote in the poll to the left.
Apparently, the critics think that we the members do not see the truth. The fact is, if you are joining with management then you need to reevaluate being a steward. The dues paying member need a person that represents them, and are not compromised by the process, the members need a steward that will uphold the National Agreement.

At the end of the day, whether I am the zone 5 steward or not, I will never stop being an advocate for the City Letter Carriers of NALC Branch 231.
I embrace the goals mentioned in Podcast Episode 128. Wouldn’t it be great if NALC Branch 231 had the most educated members not only in Region 1, but nationwide.
Someone sent me these. This is what can happen when carriers ask for the steward and/or notify the union of violations of the National Agreement and it is filed. I believe these are from California, but I could be wrong. Will it always be these amounts? No, but from the reports I always get of Article 8, 11, and 41 violations, carriers seem to be missing out on a lot of free money. I know I am. Only you can stop the abuse of you. Ask for steward time and file as you need to.

Here in Fresno, management types seem to like to complain that some stewards are being “difficult”. To this I say we are the least “difficult” bunch around, if you treat the City Letter Carrier humanely.
