Pathological Dissenter of Truth
: a person who dissents from the Truth compulsively usually for no external gain or benefit and often with detrimental consequences
Do you know of a person described above? What is your plan of action? I suggest you contact the branch, or ask for steward time. Many have a prescribed notions of what is going on, but until you request steward time, and filed grievances to hold a dissenter of truth accountable. Don’t claim that everything will stay the same that clearly isn’t the truth. We have a management type going around saying they wish a steward was at their station. Just because they have it out for a fellow management type. The only question is when will the dissenter of truth be held accountable for their abuse against our fellow brothers and sisters? Let your voice be heard, never forget you are the union.
Imagine being in the driver through of Panda Express, and having a dissenter of truth next to you trying to order McNuggets. No matter what you say, they will argue with you that this is Micky D’s. That is the carriers daily life in Fresno. We must do better. To do better, requires you to be an active participant in NALC Branch 231. Don’t let management types improperly dictate the coarse of action by way of default. As in, no one made an argument against the dissenters of truth. Join with the voices of reason, that seek accountability, and want to stop the inhumane treatment you the Fresno City Letter Carriers are receiving every single day.
Recently a carrier contacted me about FMLA. Here is a good link from the NALC that should help you. It has the forms you can print, and take to the doctor to fill out.

To my deaf or hard of hearing brothers and sisters, you have rights. USPS has a process to make your work day less stressful, and fair. Unfortunately, here at the Fresno Installation management types and management type witnesses will treat you inhumanely, until you let voices be heard. The way you make your voice heard is using MI EL-670-2021-4, it ensures management must comply with the Rehabilitation Act as amended. The management types, and the management type witnesses will claim someone suffering from paraplegia can walk perfectly fine. The management types and management type witnesses probably would argue that Helen Keller could see and hear perfectly fine, and did not have a disability. This is how disgusting they are. This type of attitude must be opposed. Ask for steward time, many of your rights are specifically laid out in Article 2 of the National Agreement, and the above link to Management Instruction EL-670-2021-4. If the management types at your installation, or station do not follow MI EL-670-2021-4 not only could it be an Article 2 violation, but may qualify as an EEO. Call NALC Branch 231, and the EEO officer will let you know.
In this day and age everyone knows someone with a hearing disability, but they feel out on their own, with no support. I encourage that you be that support. It is Indicated by both management types and management type witnesses, that I can hear perfectly fine, despite the fact that district CA-3 has proof otherwise, but this is Fresno Installation, so facts don’t matter to the management types, or the bootlickers.
To those management types, and management type witnesses that discriminatorily dismiss carriers with a hearing disability my challenge to you is to buy some ear plugs, and wear them from the moment you get out of the shower in the morning until you go to bed for 1 week, or maybe 2 weeks from Sunday to Saturday. This includes all work meetings, and phone calls from your fellow management types, or the bootlickers, your time at home, watching TV, going to the movies, or out for dinner. Then report back to everyone how “we” the ones with an actual hearing disability can hear perfectly fine. You couldn’t hack it, and undoubtedly will stop wearing the ear plugs within 2 hours at most.

Here in Fresno, management types seem to like to complain that some stewards are being “difficult”. To this I say we are the least “difficult” bunch around, if you treat the City Letter Carrier humanely.
Go Go Chiefs, isn’t Chiefs red so beautiful.
