The Butterfly Effect is an interesting phenomenon where a small event such as a butterfly taking off from a flower has a larger impact in the surrounding area than anyone could have thought possible.
That is why we are where we are right now. 2 totally unrelated events, miles apart, different dates, all merged into the accumulation of 2023, and will have ever lasting impact as they merge and continue to grow in the many years ahead.
One event started in 2015 as far as I can tell, and the other started in 2019. Both involved management making some of the worse decisions ever when viewed in 2023. The sad part, is even when faced with the results of their actions from 2015 and 2019. In the here and now of 2023, the abuse of power, the digging in of heels, the lack of self reflection, the lack of accountability, and the lack of kindness continues to happen.
When offered redemption recently, it was rejected. That is going to be the saddest part of this story. As we get closer to 2025, there will be unparalleled clarity all because of 2 unrelated events from 2015 and 2019.
