Hello brothers and sisters, zone 27 is being counted again…… management is being even more abusive this time. All I can say is document it, and ask for a steward for any and every question management asks you. At this point, it is undeniably clear that every question management ask can and/or will lead up to you being 16.7. All of us that were at Cedar to witness the injustice and persecution of fellow carriers can attest to this fact.
As always feel free to text/call me with what management has been doing to you, and I will let the proper people know. That being said, nothing is better than calling the union office to talk to a person there. The union office has someone there Monday thru Friday from 8:00-12:00.
There has been another SCS caught on video delivering mail door to door. It’s an Article 1 violation if management brings you pivots, delivers any parcels, or delivers mail. The only thing management is allowed to deliver is express mail. If you are brought a pivot, or see management doing any of the above report it. Call the office and leave a message if necessary. OTDL and CCA’s will get that free money management loves handing out.
In the past week or two it has been reported to me that management is out on the street persecuting carriers under the pretense that it’s a “street observation”, if you are being persecuted, by the very next morning you should have the original form that management filled out at your case. If it isn’t the original ask for steward time, and file Article 19.
This is from the M-39:
134.12 Accompanying carriers on the street is considered an essential responsibility of management and one of the manager’s most important duties. Managers should act promptly to correct improper conditions. A positive attitude must be maintained by the manager at all times.
If you observe management not maintaining a “positive attitude” as is required in the M-39 section 134.12, report it to your steward, or the branch office. It may even rise to the level of a JSOVB, but no matter what it is still a Article 19 violation.
Only you the carrier can stop management from abusing you, no one else can. Learn your rights under the National Agreement, and make sure your steward defends the contract every second that you are on the clock. With that said, stop working off the clock, file an Article 41.3.k if you see someone working before BT or on their morning break. Everyone deserves to be paid for the work they perform. When a carrier works off the clock, or on breaks it causes direct harm to every single City Letter Carrier and CCA in that installation. Management uses this to “show” routes have “under-time”, and as we saw in zones 6 & 5 during the last route count both zones aux routes were eliminated. Now we have a bunch of overburdened routes throughout Fresno.
