If you only listen to one podcast and one episode in all of 2026 Epidsode 273 is the one you must listen to. We as a union are at a crossroads if the CLC doesn’t win in 2026 we are doomed as a union and as city letter carriers.

Use this link to document your scheduled leave. Be warned though I had a POS management person at Cedar and the acting PM frack around with me when I used this feature when I was there. I should have taken it up with the NBA or National because of no local support, but if you have similar issues in light of the recent “pledge” signed by all executive board members you will want to document each step you take, and report it directly to the NBA so that you can file Article X charges, NLRB charges, and LMRDA(DOL) charges against NALC Branch 231 if you are not supported 100% in using postal policy.
At steward class Eric Ellis confirmed that NALC presidential candidate Mike Caref is going to be at the meeting on January 13, 2025 at 7:00pm. You all should be there to hear what Mike Caref says. He is an excellent speaker, and I must give him huge props because he is the only member on the NALC National Executive Board that actually carries his route at least once a year.
I have so many questions for candidate Mike Caref that I know I won’t be able to ask them all. I am hoping to get the 2 questions in though.
1. As a union we have a local presidents clearly abusing their position in NALC Branch 2502 out of Las Vegas, as National president will you use the powers granted you under the LMRDA to remove said president that is violating NALC Branch 2502 bylaws?
2. We have in NALC Branch 231 stewards and executive board members violating us members by siding with management against the rank and file, what are you going to do about this?
I know Tuesday’s are always bad, but please make sure that you come to the meeting that is at 7:00pm at 4466 Spaatz Ave, so that you can let your voice be heard when we have a NALC presidential candidate Mike Caref there he is currently the Region 3 NBA.
I talked with Eric Ellis, and he indicated to me that he is trying to get all the NALC members that are running for NALC president in 2026 to speak at a branch meeting.
Always remember you have the power as the supreme body of NALC Branch 231 if you show up and vote.
